Ferguson Debuts Mitzi Collection by Hudson Valley Lighting
Dallas Market Center is renowned as the International Home of Lighting, and is billed as the world’s largest wholesale merchandise mart. Buyers from the Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery showroom at the Indiana Design Center recently returned from its January lighting trade show, having learned about the trends and technological advances in lighting for 2018. The show is an annual treat for the buyers, being able to see the beauty of the lights and fixtures in person before selecting lines to carry in the showroom.
Their newest line, Mitzi, was one of the highlights at this year’s show. Mitzi, which is a division of Hudson Valley Lighting, is a beautiful new addition to the Ferguson showroom. In keeping with the aesthetic of Ferguson’s other lines, Mitzi is a thoughtful selection of classic-meets-contemporary pieces that expertly blend form and function.
“We love the accessibility of this line,” says Jeremy Konechne, showroom manager at Ferguson. “The incorporation of materials like marble, wire and concrete into their pieces gives a fresh take on classic silhouettes.”
The line combines traditional finishes like shiny brass and polished nickel with more modern matte black and white, as well as including aged brass and bronze, polished copper and the aforementioned marble and concrete. The Jasmine pendant, for instance, is a showstopping piece made of finished metal wire that curves around a single Edison bulb. The shape of the fixture combined with the inclusion of the Edison bulb is classic, but the wire is thoroughly modern.
The line includes many different selections in lamps, chandeliers, sconces, pendants and flush mounts, making them ideal to work well in almost any kind of setting–large and small spaces and in any kind of room.
“The clean lines of this lighting represents what we like to carry at Ferguson. It is uncluttered high design, which is what we find many of our customers want. Timeless and streamlined lighting transcends what is in fashion, making it a great choice for your home,” says Konechne.
