Desired Experience:

  • Interior Design degree required
  • Experience in residential interior design; 5 years minimum preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of residential furniture preferred
  • Kitchen and bath and architectural millwork design experience preferred
  • NCIDQ certified a plus

Part-Time Guest Relations

The Indiana Design Center is looking for a part-time team member to staff the concierge desk and manage the visitor experience. This person should be a self-starter, engaging, outgoing, relationship-builder with a strong interest in hospitality and home design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors enthusiastically and acquaint them with building offerings.
  • Understand IDC businesses and get to know staff and owners personally.
  • Assist with event logistics when IDC hosts functions.
  • Engage visitors in doing business with Indiana Design Center merchants and designers.
  • Walk the building twice daily to troubleshoot any cleaning/maintenance issues.
  • Maintain stock and keep concierge desk orderly.
  • Manage maintenance requests when necessary.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Excellent written and oral communicator
  • Event planning experience
  • Service in leadership positions
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Experience or education in marketing, event planning or interior design preferred
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.

Minimum hours are part-time Saturdays, 10AM – 3PM, with an opportunity for Fridays, 10AM – 3PM as well. Availability to staff special evening or weekend events is also helpful.

Sales Support Representative

Ferguson is looking to hire motivated Sales Support Representatives who have the desire to build a long-term career with the organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists in multiple behind-the-scenes sales functions such as answering sales calls for general information, addressing and resolving customer concerns or questions, and helping customers by recommending the best products and solutions to support their needs
  • Provides hands-on assistance on an as-needed basis such as helping assist customers on the parts counter and providing backup support in the warehouse
  • Presents job quotes and provides accurate pricing and inventory information to customers
  • Uses customer relationship management (CRM) system and phone system effectively
  • Works together with Sales associates to provide outstanding customer service for both existing and prospective customers

  • 0-3 years sales and/or customer service experience preferred

  • Ability to build long-lasting relationships while balancing business and customer needs
  • Drive to act and respond quickly to customer needs and make decisions in a timely manner
  • General digital literacy including Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
