Carmel designer Gary Nance recently moved his firm, Gary Nance Design, into space on the second floor of the Indiana Design Center. The commercial and residential architectural firm will offer design services for high-end custom homes.

Gary Nance

Nance has more than 30 years of residential and commercial design experience. The majority of his business takes him to northern Indiana, northern Michigan and the Carolinas. He brings a fresh dose of classic style, emphasizing functional design plans and architectural details. Working closely with clients and contractors, Nance incorporates integrity through the design as well as the construction process of each project.

In addition to home design, Nance offers custom architectural products through the Gary Nance Collection. During his many years of design work he saw the need for a line of products with the appropriate scale-to-design. He offers American-made custom light fixtures, stair spindles and hardware. “Clients, designers and even friends would ask where I could find certain pieces and each time, I had to send a sketch to get them custom made,” he says. He recently designed new light fixtures at Woodstock Country Club.

Nance is excited to be in close proximity to vendors and other designers at the design center, offering more opportunities for collaboration. Being in the IDC also offers convenient access to 15 different showrooms for product selection.

“We are glad to open our new office in the IDC, joining several esteemed industry peers that we work closely with on our projects. We hope that being here will foster new professional relationships and we know our clients will love it,” says Nance.

This addition is one of many changes in progress at the IDC like the upcoming opening of the Le Peep café and Glass House Gallery.

“We are pleased to welcome Gary Nance Design to the building. Adding another design firm reinforces the cooperative dynamic on which the industry thrives,” says Melissa Averitt, Pedcor Companies senior vice president for sales and marketing.
